Job summary

Monroeville Post Acute is seeking a dedicated cook to manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals, follow menus, and ensure dietary needs are met in a safe, sanitary environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a hospital or long-term care kitchen. ServSafe certification is required, PCC experience preferred, and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures.
• Prepare pureed foods.
• Work with staff across departments and maintain sanitizer buckets.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Clean cooking area and serving carts; report resident care concerns to Administrator/Director of Nurses.
• Participate in training of dietary staff and present meals appealing to residents.
• Cooperate with team and supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
