Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, clean, sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures.
• Assist with serving the meals and maintain hygiene in service areas.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator/Director of Nurses.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Make food presentation appealing to residents.
• Cooperate with all departments and work under supervision as needed.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and supervise in absence of supervisor.
