Job summary

Crossover Health is seeking a Clinical Application & Informatics Specialist to support and optimize clinical systems, particularly EHR and related applications. • 3–5+ years of experience in clinical informatics, clinical application support, or health IT.
• Hands‑on experience configuring and supporting EHR systems; experience with Athenahealth is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, APIs).
• Excellent communication and change management skills, with experience translating clinical needs into technical solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain clinical applications (e.g., Athenahealth, Elation) to align with evolving workflows.
• Provide tier‑2 support for application‑related issues and elevate to vendors or IT when needed.
• Participate in software upgrades, testing, and system validation.
• Assist in managing vendor relationships and ensuring service‑level expectations are met.
• Develop training materials, job aids, and tip sheets to support user onboarding and change management.
• Deliver training and go‑live support to providers, nurses, and operational staff.
• Document clinical workflows and maintain system configuration records.
• Support project timelines, testing plans, and implementation checklists for system changes or new tool rollouts.
• Track KPIs and performance metrics related to system usage and provider satisfaction. Participate in informatics and operations meetings to align on organizational goals and identify opportunities for improvement.

Job Responsibilities

The Clinical Application & Informatics Specialist plays a key role in supporting and optimizing clinical systems, particularly EHR and related applications. This mid-level role combines informatics strategy with hands‑on application support and cross‑functional collaboration. The base pay range for this position is $102,739.00 to $133,560 per year. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits package.
