Job summary
Med Clinic X is hiring a Clinical Informatics Specialist to optimize how clinical data is captured, structured, exchanged, and used across healthcare systems.
In this role you will translate clinical requirements into structured digital systems, improving patient care, operational efficiency, and data accuracy. You will work with product teams, engineers, and data teams to enhance EHR integrations, clinical data workflows, and healthcare analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Healthcare Admin, CS, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare informatics, clinical systems, or healthcare IT roles.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR platforms and data schema boundaries.
- Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security principles.
Responsibilities
- Analyze clinical workflows and translate them into structured digital requirements.
- Support implementation and optimization of EHR/EMR systems and integrations.
- Improve clinical documentation processes and data accuracy.
- Ensure proper mapping of clinical data across healthcare platforms.
- Work with healthcare data standards and structured clinical datasets.
- Support data exchange between healthcare systems using APIs and integration tools.
- Improve interoperability between patient portals, clinical systems, and SaaS platforms.
- Assist in maintaining data quality, consistency, and usability.
- Work closely with software engineers and product teams to design clinical features.
- Translate clinical needs into technical specifications for development teams.
- Participate in healthcare SaaS product development lifecycle.
- Support testing and validation of clinical workflows in digital systems.

Map custom integration queries linking patient portals to hospital Epic/Cerner systems.
Ensure clinical lab results, medications, and care summaries map correctly for patients.
Support digital video consult records, SOAP notes schema mapping, and prescription feeds.
Help design clinical guidelines and safety red-flags backing our AI triage engines.
