Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Medical Scribe (Clinical Informatics Specialist) in York, PA. You will shadow a provider, document patient encounters, and help with coding using ICD-10 and CPT. The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant, accurate charting and efficient after-visit summaries.

We seek candidates with strong typing (55+ WPM), excellent attendance, and a willingness to commit for at least one year in a full-time capacity. In-person clinic hours are approximately 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 55 WPM, strong attendance and ability to work in-person.
• Commit to a 1 year minimum, 2+ years preferred, full-time clinic hours.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in structured notes with HPI, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support daily huddles, reviews, and administrative tasks for the care team.
