Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA seeks a Clinical Informaticist to lead planning, implementation, and sustainment of clinical HIT with strong clinical understanding. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure HIT strategies meet patient care needs and guide system optimization and quality reporting.

Role requires deep knowledge of clinical processes and HIT, with organizational and communication skills across healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years clinical experience.
• Registered Nurse: WA or Occupational Therapist: WA or Physical Therapist: WA, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures workflow and training knowledge reflects current informatics standards.
• Communicates changes, upgrades, and downtimes to clinical customers; conducts workflow analysis to improve system use.
• Engages with leaders and SMEs to influence design and development of projects, curricula and workflows; promotes high quality in the life cycle of Clinical Information Systems.
• Participates in educational programs, current evidence, projects, meetings and workshops.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Degree in Nursing, Informatics, HIT, Health Administration, or other related field
