Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., Pipetting, DNA/RNA purification/dilution, PCR amplification).
• Solid computer skills with familiarity with Windows Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent organization and record keeping.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Work independently within the CGC team to execute projects in a timely manner.
• Perform molecular biology wet lab tasks (PCR, NGS library prep, sequencing, electrophoresis, DNA quantification).
• Operate laboratory equipment (micropipettes, thermocyclers, electrophoresis instruments, liquid-handling robotics, NGS instrumentation).
• Document results in an organized manner and maintain accurate logs.
• Provide written and verbal updates to supervisor and maintain a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
