Job summary

Summit Spine and Joint Centers in Decatur, GA, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to support ASC operations. The role requires excellent communication, ability to lift up to 45 pounds, and comfort handling blood, with opportunities to cross-train across clinical tasks.

Responsibilities include patient check-in with copays and insurance verification, scheduling, prescriptions coordination, and assisting patients to their vehicles. Some travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-year clinical experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using an EHR system preferred (eClinicalWorks or similar).

Responsibilities

• Communicating directly with patients and their needs.
• Greeting patients: check-in, collect copay, verify insurance, prepare charts.
• Checking out patients: scheduling, referrals, verifying prescriptions.
• Assisting patients to their vehicle when necessary.
• Effectively process messages between patients and administration or other medical offices.
• Report to office manager and/or practice administrator.
• Other duties as assigned.
