Clinical Educator Job Responsibilities:

• Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess the competency of new nursing staff members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.

This hybrid role integrates the responsibilities of a Clinical Educator and Clinical Mentor, delivering formal education, competency development, coaching, and individualized professional guidance to support clinician onboarding, foster evidence-based practice, promote ongoing professional growth, and advance excellence in patient care delivery.

Hours: Full-time, M-F (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)

Minimum Qualifications:

Education : Master's Degree or BSN and enrolled in Master's program upon start. If RN has a BSN and enrolled in Master's program, RN must meet with their Nurse Leader within 3 months to conduct the following: Provide a written plan with anticipated Masters completion date Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses Complete Masters within 3 years of start date.

Experience : 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor

Certification : BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2years of Progressive Care (PCU) RN experience. Minimum 4 years of RN experience.
