Job summary

GBMC Health Partners in Baltimore seeks a Staff Development Manager to advance high-reliability, staff development and a culture of safety. Under limited supervision, leads the design, assessment, implementation and evaluation of interdisciplinary education, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives for clinical and non-clinical staff.

The role applies adult learning theory, oversees onboarding, competency development and ongoing professional development, and partners with leadership

Qualifications

• RN license in Maryland (or eligible).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within 1 year.
• CPR certified; CPR instructor within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develops and conducts learning needs assessment for staff annually.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs and initiatives.
• Leads onboarding, orientation, and competency-based education.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve safety and patient outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Master's degree in Nursing Education preferred
