Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Professional Development Specialist to enhance patient care and staff performance through education, consultation, and leadership. The role develops orientation programs, mandatory training, in-service and continuing education aligned with hospital goals.

Responsible for assessing learning needs, delivering education using adult learning principles, and leading committees to drive evidence-based practice improvements across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Three (3) years of acute care clinical experience within the last five years.
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or comparable licensure with ACLS and PALS included within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs and develops education programs for hospital staff.
• Coordinates and delivers educational activities using adult learning principles.
• Evaluates program effectiveness and maintains accreditation records.
• Leads committees and projects to support organizational initiatives.
• Provides consultation and clinical support, disseminating best practices into standards.
