Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support our primary care providers by documenting patient encounters in real time in a clinic setting. You will join the exam room, observe visits, and help ensure accurate documentation and coding.

Responsibilities include assigning CPT/ICD-10 codes, preparing after-visit summaries, and supporting the care team with clinical documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications (required).
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering (strongly preferred).
• Prior scribe or transcription experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time, including history, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Handle clinical documentation improvements and chart reviews.
• Provide administrative support to the provider and care team.
