Job summary

The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education is seeking a Medical Scribe to support clinicians by documenting patient encounters and managing electronic medical records. You will accompany the provider in exams, transcribe notes, and ensure accuracy under provider direction.

You will monitor lab results, assist with chart updates, and support billing/coding education for residents. HIPAA privacy and patient safety are emphasized throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of healthcare experience; medical office preferred.
• CMS Certification preferred.
• Current BLS Certificate required.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe history and physical as directed by the provider.
• Sign off and date all entries in the medical record.
• Track results and update chart status for labs and imaging.
• Support billing/coding education for residents and fellows.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and a secure environment for patients and staff.
