Job summary

Healthstar Community Care seeks an experienced Clinical Director (LCSW/LCMHC) in North Carolina to lead clinical services and oversee CST operations. The role focuses on high-quality, recovery-oriented care for individuals with substance-use disorders and co-occurring conditions.

The ideal candidate will supervise clinical staff, ensure compliance with Medicaid, accreditation, and professional standards, and participate in program development and risk management while providing direct services

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted North Carolina license as LCSW or LCMHC.
• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
• Experience with North Carolina CST and behavioral health services.
• Clinical experience serving individuals with substance-use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
• Experience in supervision, team leadership, program management, or clinical administration.
• Knowledge of NC Medicaid behavioral health services, documentation, and crisis planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for Healthstar’s behavioral health programs.
• Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs; maintain policies and workflows.
• Supervise therapists, CST staff, and other clinical personnel; support staff development.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, accreditation, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with hospitals, crisis providers, housing programs, and community partners.
• Provide direct clinical services as needed within scope of license.
