Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian Specialist to lead nutrition care in acute care settings, with mentorship and a clear path to Clinical Dietitian Specialist. The role supports patients through MNT, NCP, and nutrition therapy, in a fast-paced hospital environment.

We offer structured onboarding for new grads and experienced dietitians, with opportunities to grow in nutrition support, including TPN and tube feeding, in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible.
• If hired in registration eligible status, must pass the RD credentialing exam within 6 months.
• ACEND accredited program completion required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients in acute care and specialized populations.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to assess, diagnose, and manage complex nutrition needs.
• Provide advanced nutrition counseling to support behavior change and improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize clinical nutrition tools and technology to develop personalized care plans.
• Support and mentor dietetic interns, new graduates, and clinical nutrition staff.
• Implement evidence-based nutrition practices in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage nutrition care across the continuum, including discharge planning and DME ordering.
• Independently write and manage nutrition-related orders within scope of practice as an RD/RDN.
