Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible.
- Master’s degree as of 2024 for new grads (ACEND requirement).
- Complete ACEND-accredited program and obtain licensure within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients in acute care.
- Apply the Nutrition Care Process to assess and manage needs.
- Provide advanced nutrition counseling to support behavior change.
- Use nutrition tools to develop personalized care plans.
- Mentor interns and junior dietitians.
- Implement evidence-based practices with interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage care across discharge planning and DME ordering.
