Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a CDSO Data Strategy Lead to own data-related start-up deliverables from protocol development through system go-live. You will lead cross-functional collaboration to embed data strategies into clinical plans and translate complex data concepts into actionable decisions for study teams.

The role requires 6+ years in pharma/clinical data or 8+ years PM experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
6+ years pharma/clinical research/data management experience or 8+ years project management experience.
Deep understanding of clinical trial processes and clinical technology; lead role preferred.
Proven ability to influence without authority and coach in a matrix environment.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the CDSO study start-up SME and single contact for assigned studies.
Lead data management study start-up end-to-end to enable on-time start.
Ensure consistency in data strategy, CRFs, and surveillance across studies.
Translate complex data concepts into clear, decision-ready guidance for study teams.
Oversee adherence to regulations and quality standards; drive process improvements.
Influence outcomes without direct authority and collaborate cross-functionally.
Coach and mentor CDSO team members and lead innovation.
