Job summary

SQRL is seeking a QC & Data Management Specialist II in Walnut Creek to support clinical data quality and study documentation. You will review research records for accuracy, enter and reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and work with site teams and sponsor representatives.

Ideal candidates have prior clinical research experience and strong organizational skills. The role emphasizes cross-study collaboration, multi-system data handling, and ensuring adherence to GCP and internal procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1–3+ years of experience in clinical research, biological research, or related environment.
• Working knowledge of clinical research quality control practices and basic GCP requirements.
• Familiarity with clinical trial documentation, medical terminology, research concepts, and CRF/eCRF systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with site teams, sponsors, CROs, and other partners.

Responsibilities

• Review study charts and source documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with study protocols, GCP, and internal procedures.
• Enter clinical trial data into CRF and eCRF systems accurately and within required timelines.
• Identify missing or discrepant information and partner with staff to resolve issues.
• Manage and resolve open data queries while supporting sponsor monitoring visits and reviews.
• Collaborate with coordinators, investigators, sponsors, CROs, and internal teams to maintain high-quality study data.
• Help train newer team members and contribute to process improvements and department initiatives.
