Job summary

Q-Centrix is seeking a Clinical Data Quality Specialist to support clinical leads, abstractors and clients by performing quality tasks and guiding the abstraction team. You will be involved in training, re-education, weekly IRR activities, and client communications, ensuring accuracy and secure handling of PHI.

The role emphasizes experience in medical record abstraction, exposure to EMR systems, and collaboration with the Client Services team.

Qualifications

• Experience in abstraction quality and process improvement.
• Proven quality on 2+ trauma partners including Level 1 for ≥6 months.
• AIS 15, ATS Class, ICD-10 training within 5 years, TQIP Education.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs).
• Passion for training others and giving constructive feedback.
• Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
• Strong organizational skills and handling ambiguity.
• Protect PHI and maintain confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orient the abstraction team to the medical records.
• Perform initial re-abstractions for new additions to the team (Greenlighting).
• Provide abstractor re-education to drive quality outcomes and better use of technology.
• Manage and perform weekly ongoing IRR to completion and quality standards.
• Assist with fallout reviews and second looks.
• Assist with case abstraction assignment under Team Leader direction.
• Perform harvest submission as needed.
• Attend client calls as required.
• Complete assigned abstractions.
• Roles may evolve with the organization.
