Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience (inpatient medical-surgical nursing).
  • Experience with quality and performance improvement in health care and knowledge of Joint Commission standards.
  • Clinical chart review and abstraction experience.

Job Description:

The Clinical Quality Management Analyst will be responsible foroversight of Joint Commission core measures and performanceimprovement initiatives identified as priorities at the Universityof Toledo Medical Center. The Clinical Analyst will be responsiblefor strategy development that engages staff, physicians andadministration in high quality care. The Clinical Analyst worksclosely with the non-clinical analyst to extract and analyze data,monitor compliance, and display results in an effort to communicateeffectively across all disciplines in the organization. The analystprovides support to departments and individuals in facilitatingaction plan implementation and evaluation of clinical quality andperformance improvement initiatives. All duties andresponsibilities listed are essential.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS BASED IN TOLEDO, OHIO. This is not aremote position.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with current Ohio Licensure.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or health-related field requiredwith Master’s Degree in Nursing or health-related field preferred.Statistical knowledge preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience required,inpatient medical-surgical nursing required
  • Ability to use office automation computer software requiredincluding word processing (MS Word preferred) and spreadsheetprograms (MS Excel preferred) required. Experience with projectmanagement software preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience with quality and performanceimprovement in health care and knowledge of Joint Commissionstandards required. Clinical chart review and abstractionexperience required.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience within a team orcommittee, requiring self-direction. Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills is required. Project management experiencerequired.
  • Evidence within the past three years of excellent analytical andorganizational skills is required.
  • Demonstrates clinical competency in caring for patients asidentified in unit’s Scope of Care.
  • Effectively responds to customer service needs.
    • a. Demonstrates effective age and culturally appropriateinteraction with patients, families, and other
      members of the health care team.
    • b. Seeks out ways to assist patients and co-workers.
  • Actively participates in performance improvement activities asrelated to job duties.
