Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, physical or clinical lab science.
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical chemistry and/or hematology experience.
• MLS certification by ASCP or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of QA practices and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to supervise, teach, and manage administrative tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication; maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assists with scientific and technical oversight.
• Manages the administrative functions of the lab.
• Effectively manages the department staff.
• Maintains necessary usage and replacement of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains and promotes professional development of self and staff.
• Performs routine technical bench work for teaching purposes or in the event of staff shortages.
• Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other related tasks assigned by the Core Lab Manager.
