Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Supervisor for the Core Lab with a Hematology or Generalist background. The role leads a team of about 25 laboratory professionals, oversees quality across the health system, and serves as a trusted resource for physicians and clients.

This is a hands-on leadership position on the floor, coaching and guiding operations rather than bench work. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in science, 4+ years of clinical lab experience, ASCP certification,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science field.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• ASCP certification.
• New York State License.
• Specialized knowledge of electrophoresis and ANA testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise ~25 staff, including scheduling and staff development.
• Coach, mentor, and grow the team to drive accountability and improvement.
• Stay visible on the floor, supporting day-to-day operations.
• Oversee quality control and QA for automated processes and results.
