Job summary

Mercy seeks a Clinical Coordinator to lead nursing care for patients and families, directing and supervising RNs, LPNs, students and support staff. You will ensure regulatory compliance, contribute to staff education, and align with Mercy's mission and values in a fast‑paced unit.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and at least two years of charge/clinical coordination experience, plus BLS certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state and/or compact licensure.
• At least 2 years of experience in charge/clinical coordinator settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients and families.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs, students and non‑professional staff in direct patient care.
• Ensure unit operations meet regulatory requirements and standards.

Provides direction to Registered Nurses, Licensed practical Nurses, students and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. Responsible for operation of the Unit ensuring that all regulatory requirements and standards are being fulfilled. Participates in the education and development of personnel and performance evaluation as well as other administrative duties as designated by the Director of the unit. Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, be dedicated to the provision of quality patient care and use sound judgment in decision making. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Licensure

• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in charge/clinical coordinator setting.

Certification/Registration

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
