Job summary
Mount St. Mary's University is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for the School of Nursing in Emmitsburg, MD.
The role leads clinical education across the BSN curriculum, partnering with program leadership and faculty to ensure learning experiences meet course outcomes, program outcomes, AACN Essentials, CCNE standards, and MD Board of Nursing requirements. The coordinator secures, schedules, and evaluates clinical placements, serves as the liaison with clinical partners, and supports
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Maryland or eligibility for Maryland licensure.
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in nursing education, clinical instruction, or academic administration.
- Knowledge of pre-licensure nursing curriculum and clinical education requirements.
- Preferred: experience coordinating clinical placements in a BSN program.
- Knowledge of CCNE accreditation standards and AACN Essentials.
- Experience with clinical contracts, agency partnerships, and compliance tracking systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty and healthcare partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clinical site relationships with healthcare agencies.
- Coordinate and secure clinical placements for BSN courses.
- Monitor regulatory requirements and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with faculty to align placements with course outcomes.
- Collect data to evaluate placement effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Support accreditation efforts with CCNE and AACN alignment.
