Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Clinical Program Manager for the Clinical Command Center to oversee 24/7 patient movement, bed management, and throughput coordination across multiple hospitals. The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient placement and timely discharges while aligning with system-wide policies and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN/PA/NP with valid credentials.
• Experience coordinating hospital throughput or transfer centers preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a health-system setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics teams for patient movement and bed assignments.
• Act as designee for the COO to approve diversion decisions.
• Coordinate placement of patient populations across multiple hospitals.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary huddles to review throughput and patient placement.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Medical, Infection Prevention and Quality leadership.
• Oversee discharge timing, inter-facility and intra-hospital transfers.
• Develop action plans to optimize bed management and throughput.
• Analyze throughput data to support operational performance.
