About This Role

The Clinical Program Manager, Clinical Command Center (Night Shift) is a Registered Professional Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner responsible for managing the 24-hour functions of health-system throughput, transfer center, quality, and delivery of care. This role is ideal for experienced professionals looking to lead clinical programs and collaborate with health system teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Logistics teams in coordinating patient movement and bed assignments.
  • Act as designee for the COO of the Clinical Command Center to approve diversion decisions.
  • Devise strategy and interact with CMOS, CNOs, and COOs on patient placement.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary huddles to expedite patient movement across campuses.
  • Liaise with Nursing and Providers to facilitate patient discharges and transfers.
  • Execute goals and objectives consistent with Mount Sinai policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate performance improvement activities within designated clinical specialties.
  • Develop action plans to support performance and optimal care delivery.
  • Oversee collection and analysis of health-system throughput activity data.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure communication and compliance with policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master’s preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting; 2+ years of critical care and/or emergency department experience preferred; 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred; 1+ year of Patient Flow experience preferred
  • Licenses & Certifications: Licensed NYS Registered Professional Nurse; Certification: Basic Life Saver (BCLS) Required; Certification: ACLS preferred; NCCPA Board Certification for Physician Assistants; New York State Licensure for Physician Assistants
