The Clinical Care Coordinator performs a variety of patient care and administrative responsibilities to support patients and providers.
This is a full-time position working M-F between 7:00 am - 5:30 pm at our Stillwater, Woodbury, and Hudson locations.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, committed to giving patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms.
- Room patients, obtain medical history, and prepare for exams.
- Maintain an efficient, organized clinical flow.
- Assist with documentation of patient data into electronic health records.
- Prepare for injections, change dressings, apply durable medical equipment, and remove sutures/staples under provider direction.
- Apply and remove casts and splints.
- Ensure coding requirements are followed during patient information entry.
- Provide patient educational materials.
- Assist with collection and processing of specimens.
- Act as a prescribing delegate to enter medical orders into the CPOE system under provider supervision.
- Assist Providers in procedure rooms with injections and minor procedures.
- Assist with medical supply inventory and ordering.
- Screen patient calls, respond promptly, and document messages in the electronic chart.
- Serve as a communication liaison between providers and patients.
- Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic tests.
- Obtain referrals and authorizations per insurance guidelines.
- Follow up on patient inquiries, contacting providers as necessary.
- Process mail and correspondence.
- Coordinate transmission and acquisition of patient records.
- Maintain Physician schedule and communicate changes.
- Additional functions may include preparing for clinics, building schedules, transcription, assisting with legal practices, managing remote office tasks, coordinating patient paperwork, managing EMR tasks, and coordinating on-call consults.
- Support multiple specialties.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), or equivalent experience preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred.
- Administrative or medical office experience preferred.
- Customer service experience.

Essential Requirements:
- Complete the CPOE upon hire if necessary.
