Clinical Care Coordinator - Twin Cities Orthopedics
The Clinical Care Coordinator performs various patient care and administrative responsibilities to support patients and providers.
This full-time position works Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, at our Edina Crosstown, Eden Prairie, and Waconia locations.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is part of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, dedicated to giving patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
- Room patients, obtain medical history, and prepare for exams
- Maintain organized clinical flow
- Assist with documentation of patient data into electronic health records
- Prepare for injections, change dressings, apply medical equipment, and remove sutures/staples under provider supervision
- Apply and remove casts and splints
- Ensure coding compliance during patient data entry
- Assist with specimen collection and processing
- Act as a prescribing delegate for medical orders under provider supervision
- Assist providers during procedures
- Manage medical supply inventory and ordering
- Screen and respond to patient calls, documenting messages in electronic charts
- Facilitate communication between providers and patients
- Schedule appointments, surgeries, and tests
- Obtain referrals and authorizations per insurance guidelines
- Follow up on patient inquiries and coordinate record transmission
- Maintain physician schedules and communicate changes
- Additional duties may include clinic prep, scheduling, transcription, assisting with legal practices, managing remote paperwork, and task routing in EMR
- Support multiple specialties as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), or similar experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology preferred
- Familiarity with diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred
- Experience in administrative or medical office settings preferred

- Starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience
- $1,500 sign-on bonus, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment (not available to internal applicants)
