Job summary

Responsibilities

Collects vital signs and other health data in exam rooms.
Draws blood for lab procedures and prepares patients for examinations.
Assists with injections, minor procedures, and front-office duties when needed.
Records medications and processes refills electronically where permitted.
Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and proper disposal of materials.
Escorts patients to rooms and coordinates with nurses and physicians.
Documents in EMR to meet Meaningful Use guidelines.
Communicates with physicians and supervisors; escalates issues as needed.
