Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma; MA program preferred.
• Experience in a physician’s office preferred.
• Certification in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Experience with CPT/ICD coding and EMR systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine nursing functions and diagnostic procedures.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and collect vital signs.
• Draw blood, perform EKGs and X-rays as ordered.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with minor surgery.
• Assist with front office duties and patient calls with instructions.
• Document referrals, prior authorizations, and medication records.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Assist physicians and other providers as needed.
