Job summary

Ohio-Ent- is seeking a Clinical Care Assistant to greet patients, take vitals, room patients, complete charting, and support exam room operations. The role includes cleaning, instrument handling, and answering calls, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., in a medical office environment. Prior experience and strong communication skills are required; HIPAA and OSHA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Knowledge of practice management software, timekeeping software and EHR packages.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
• Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
• Must be aware of and comply with all OSHA standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Document patient chief complaint in medical record.
• Verify all test results are ready for the physician.
• Clean instruments per protocol and maintain clean work area.
• Assist in tracking medical and office supplies.
• Distribute/Route faxes, test results, referral letters, etc.
• Answer incoming phone calls and returns patient calls promptly.
• Manage EMR desktop and alerts/flags.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Prepare and date sterile kits per protocol
• Provide discharge instructions/education to patients and review handouts.
