Job summary

HUB International in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Clinical Consultant to bring a clinical perspective to employee benefits consulting. You will review claims and utilization data to identify patterns in health trends and translate findings into actionable client insights.

The role emphasizes collaboration with account teams, HIPAA compliance, and staying current on treatment trends. A health-related degree and RN/LPN licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required; BSN active RN license preferred.
• Associate-level RN or LPN/LVN with active license and relevant clinical experience will be considered.
• 2–5 years of direct patient care or clinical practice experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets medical and pharmacy claims data to identify utilization patterns, cost drivers and gaps in care.
• Learns and adapts to new reporting and technology tools to support client deliverables.
• Provides condition interpretation and risk education grounded in standards of care and medical necessity.
• Reviews clinical risk factors and treatment patterns among large or complex claimants to identify key cost and risk drivers.
• Identifies utilization patterns behind ER visits, hospital admissions, and site-of-care opportunities.
• Shares clinical interpretation with the account team and other specialty partners to support population health and plan strategy.
• Supports carrier conversations by identifying clinical patterns in carrier and vendor program data.
• Prepares clinical deliverables for routing to account team or presents on client calls.
• Maintains current knowledge of emerging treatment drug and site of care trends through research and professional development.
