Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in New Jersey is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities through behavioral and psychiatric assessments and the development of effective, person-centered interventions.

The BIS will train staff, implement treatment plans, document progress, and coordinate with programs to promote health, safety, and well-being, while maintaining compliance with service practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field required.
• Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred.
• One year of experience working with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to write clinical reports, goals/outcomes and treatment plans clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals' habilitative, behavioral and psychiatric needs.
• Develop and implement effective interventions to support needs.
• Train staff to ensure interventions are understood and implemented as documented.
• Document progress and maintain program plans and records.
