Job summary

YAI is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist in New York City to perform clinical assessments and develop behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time role requires a Master's degree in a related field and expertise in crisis intervention and behavior management.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, providing training and oversight to ensure effective implementation of support strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical or treatment field required.
• Successful completion of BIS School within one year of appointment.
• Must hold or maintain SCIP-R and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify behavioral and psychiatric needs of individuals supported.
• Develop individual habilitative and behavior support plans.
• Train staff in behavior management and intervention techniques.
