Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking an Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist to support individuals in Bronx programs, supervising and guiding staff, implementing Behavior Support Plans, and coordinating community activities. The role includes working evening shifts, documenting progress, and collaborating with BIS and IDT to ensure high-quality care.

You will train staff on clinical systems, manage data, and escalate concerns while upholding person-centered approaches and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related Human Services discipline and at least six months of relevant experience.
• Experience documenting services and progress, with strong written and oral communication.
• Ability to lead, train and supervise staff in clinical settings and follow plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend and evening shifts; supervise program staff and ensure appropriate levels of supervision.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans and document outcomes; support staff training on interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individual plans and data collection.
