Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Winchester Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate to support patient care on a 24-hour/week schedule. You will assist with activities of daily living, reposition and ambulate patients, handle bed changes, transport patients and equipment, collect specimens, and perform point-of-care testing under nursing supervision.

Responsibilities also include obtaining vital signs, managing intake and output, and removing Foley catheters as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must have CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation.
• Completion of Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP).

Responsibilities

• Assist activities of daily living for patients.
• Reposition and ambulate patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Transport patients, beds, supplies, and equipment.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
