Hiring Supervisor:
Hiring Range: (Contingent upon available funding): 15.00 - 16.88, Hourly
Work Schedule: Typically, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
Job Summary:
The Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring high quality and continuity in the provision of comprehensive primary medical care services. The Clinical Assistant is utilized in performing typical front and back office clinical functions. The Clinical Assistant is under the overall on-site supervision of the Nursing Supervisor.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and assist patients, both adults and children, observe patients visually, and communicate verbally. Ability to stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, walk and run with or without reasonable accommodations.
Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver License required
- Completion of an approved Clinical Assistant educational program or 2 years related experience in a clinical setting.
Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow.
- Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed.
- Primary skills include verbal and written communication with patients to promote continuity of care and follow-up as well as daily retrieval and scanning/filing of clinical encounter forms and reports for use by clinic staff during patient care activities.
