This position handles processing all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, ensuring timely, accurate, high-quality service while safeguarding patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA and company policies. This is an intermediate role requiring at least 1 year of HIM experience.

You Will:
  • Process patient health information requests per policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information
  • Use company and facility software proficiently
  • Follow conduct and policy standards
  • Assist with additional duties as needed
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Manage and safeguard patient records
  • Prepare and assemble medical records, both paper and electronic
  • Respond to internal and external record requests
  • Handle calls, assist walk-ins, and perform administrative tasks
  • Train and mentor staff, participate in projects, and lead training sessions
  • Report issues and participate in onboarding and quality assurance activities
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Overtime flexibility during peak seasons
  • At least 1 year of HIM experience; 2+ years preferred
  • Basic computer skills and professional communication
  • Attention to detail and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with production/metric-based work and building client relationships
