• Oklahoma Heart Institute offers 24/7 catheterization labs, cardiac rehabilitation, and a heart failure center. In addition, OHI is involved in over 200 cutting-edge research studies across various specialties within the system.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Assistant is responsible for transporting, rooming, and preparing patients for physician, advanced practice providers, and nurse clinic visits.
• Provide support to the RN with clinic preparation and chart abstraction as delegated by the RN.
• Travel and function independently in other clinics as needed.
• Manage additional clinical responsibilities such as supply inventory and cardiac monitor appointment scheduling.
• Note: The Clinical Assistant will not administer immunizations or injectable drugs.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Medical Assistant role or graduation from a Medical Assistant Program.
• For OHI, graduation from a Certified Nurse Assistant Program and completion of a competency checklist will be considered.
