Job summary
Emerus, the leader in small-format hospitals, seeks a Clinical Application Director to own the design, configuration, and ongoing support of radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, and clinical operations applications outside the EHR. You will manage vendor relationships, budgets, and SBAR communications with health system partners.
The role requires direct clinical experience, 10+ years in healthcare IT, and Epic/Cerner expertise; travel to facility locations is required.
Qualifications
- Direct clinical experience, evidenced by an active clinical license or credential.
- Ten or more years of progressive experience in healthcare IT with leadership roles.
- Ownership of clinical application build, configuration, testing, and release in hospital settings.
- Experience leading or supporting at least one EHR implementation or major upgrade.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for clinical applications surrounding the EHR and integrations.
- Establish standards for design, configuration, validation, and release.
- Lead the clinical application workstream for new neighborhood hospitals.
- Coordinate with partner health systems, EHR teams, and vendor partners.
- Travel to all facility locations as required.
