This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8am–5pm.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Assists practitioners in performing procedures, handling telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results. Performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level practitioner.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Cardiology team, comprising cardiologists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and nurses, provides comprehensive care for heart health. We perform hundreds of interventional cardiovascular procedures annually, including stent placements, and stay current with cardiology treatment options. Services include coronary angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker insertions, implantable defibrillators, cardiac MRI, and more.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon EMT or Paramedic license required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
- Experience or training in medical terminology preferred.
- Lab/EKG experience preferred.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.
