Job summary

Ackerman Urology, a private physician-owned practice, is seeking a Patient Coordinator to support efficient, patient-centered care. You will coordinate patient appointments, obtain records and authorizations, and provide administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring patients are scheduled and navigated smoothly through care.

• Experience coordinating patient care and scheduling in a clinic.
• Ability to obtain records and physician authorizations.
• Ability to guide patients through the care process and communicate updates.
• Strong communication with physicians, providers and clinic staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with in-house and outside providers.
• Navigate patients through checkout and arrange follow-ups.
• Obtain external lab results, imaging and records prior to appointments.
• Coordinate outside referrals and obtain authorizations.
• Monitor outstanding orders and update status in chart.
• Prepare day sheets, print notes and code charts.
