Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a Supervisor-level, full-time, exempt position at Torrey Pines Surgical Specialties in La Jolla, CA. This salaried role is eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP), with Monday–Friday hours 8am–5pm and extended hours as needed. Travel to other sites may be required.

The role oversees General Surgery, Head & Neck Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Vascular Surgery departments, ensuring staffing and policy compliance while optimizing resources.

Qualifications

• Experience managing surgical department operations and staffing.
• Ability to oversee multiple departments and ensure policy compliance.
• Strong leadership and coordination with staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of General Surgery, Head & Neck Surgery, Neurosurgery and Vascular Surgery departments.
• Oversees activities and functions of a department.
• Provides functional expertise to staff and leadership.
• Ensures effective use of system resources.
• Participates in standards of practice and process improvement.
• Participates in hiring, oversees daily productivity, and staff scheduling.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed by staff.
