Job summary

You will supervise department staff, enforce performance standards, oversee registration, insurance verification and time‑of‑service collections, and help shape the department's budget and objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical setting.
• Excellent problem solving/interpersonal skills.
• Current Michigan driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance.
• Insurable under McLaren’s insurance program.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred in business or health related field.
• Previous operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, organize and implement policies and procedures for patient care, business and fiscal matters at clinics and satellites.
• Select, train and assign department staff (directly or via supervisor).
• Enforce performance standards, evaluate staff and initiate personnel actions.
• Supervise daily duties of staff handling registration, insurance verification and time-of-service collections.
• Develop department goals and enforce policies covering clinical, revenue cycle, QA, environmental and infection control.
• Recommend department operating budget and ensure operations stay within budget.
