Qualifications

• BSN or BS in nursing; must complete BSN within 3–5 years if not already.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Demonstrated management potential or middle-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Has 24-hour accountability for the assigned patient care unit and improves patient care quality.
• Establishes standards of performance and care delivery; monitors effectiveness.
• Manages staffing, scheduling and productivity benchmarks for the department.
• Develops and administers the department budget with cost awareness.
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members; mentors staff.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and drives patient satisfaction initiatives.
