Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Clinic Manager for its Primary Care Clinics in North Carolina. This exempt role will oversee daily operations, staff supervision, and coordination with the Central Billing Office to optimize finances and patient flow.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree and at least three years of supervisory experience in a physician-practice setting, with strong knowledge of insurance rules, CPT/ICD coding, and Epic software.

Qualifications

• Education: BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Applied Science or equivalent; minimum three years’ supervisory physician-practice experience.
• Experience with insurance rules, reimbursement, pre-certification, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Staff education, audits, and pre/post testing for the clinic.
• Manage assigned work queues and in-baskets in Epic; monitor errors and provide staff education as needed.
• Collaborate with Central Billing Office regarding accounts, outstanding balances, and financial planning.
• Monitor all operational processes; identify negative trends and quality care issues; implement corrective actions and follow-up.
• Monitor and coordinate collection of co-pays and deposits; perform end-of-day balancing and deposits, ensuring compliance.
• Facilitate clinic growth by improving efficiencies, reducing wait times, and minimizing no-shows.
