Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Clinic Manager to oversee operations for multiple clinics within a growing health system in central North Carolina. You will manage budgets, staff development, compliance, and patient services while leading process improvements in Epic-based workflows.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field and at least three years of supervisory experience in physician practice or hospital settings, with strong financial, analytical, and communications skills,

Qualifications

Prefer BS Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Applied Science or equivalent.
Financial/analytical skills required.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Extensive knowledge of insurance rules, including reimbursement, third party payers, pre-certification, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Ability to lead others.
Maintain confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff information.
Extensive knowledge of various medical software systems.

Responsibilities

Manages operating and capital budget expenditures and corrects discrepancies in a timely manner.
Ensures accreditation standards, licensing and regulatory requirements for NHSC, CLIA, OSHA, Radiation Protection, HIPAA, OIG, and others as required.
Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures for the clinic with supervision and guidance from FH.
Hires, trains, counsels, coaches, and supervises staff with HR support.
Resolves patient complaints and reports to clinic administrators and risk management; identifies improvement opportunities.
Implements reimbursement procedures, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, in compliance with third party billing regulations.
Supports the Clinic Compliance Plan; staff education, audits, and pre/post testing as applicable.
Manages assigned work queues and Epic; educates staff to correct errors.
Collaborates with Central Billing Office regarding accounts and financial planning.
Monitors operational processes for negative trends and patient care issues; implements corrections.
Coordinates collection of co-pays and end-of-day balancing; ensures deposits.
Facilitates clinic growth through efficiencies and reducing wait times and no-shows.
