Job summary

MercyOne is hiring a Clinic Clerical Lead to oversee day-to-day operations in a Davenport clinic. The role coordinates staff, workflow, registrations, billing, and medical records while ensuring smooth patient flow and quality care.

Responsibilities include scheduling, onboarding, payroll support, and performance management. Collaboration, compliance, and patient inquiries handling are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• 2+ years of prior related experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinic operations and staff coordination.
• Assist with scheduling, patient registrations, billing, demographics, code scanning, denials, and collections.
• Supervise staff scheduling, onboarding, and education; assist with payroll, timekeeping, and performance management.
• Address issues to improve clinic flow and ensure quality patient care; respond to patient inquiries.
• Lead meetings and huddles; ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and departmental policies.
