Job summary

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is seeking a Lead Medical Support Assistant at the Sandusky VA Clinic within Community Outpatient Service. The Lead MSA coordinates Advanced MSA assignments and workflow across interdisciplinary teams, conducting daily workload assessments and ensuring adequate staffing for optimal patient care.

Responsibilities include assigning work, training needs assessment, and supporting interdisciplinary care delivery, including coordination with the patient care

Qualifications

• Six months experience of clerical, office, customer service, or other administrative work indicating the ability to perform duties.
• One year above high school; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience/Education combination acceptable for entry level roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Advanced MSA assignments and workflow across interdisciplinary units.
• Conduct daily workload assessments and assign work accordingly.
• Assure proper staffing coverage and determine training needs of MSAs.
