Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a collaborative Practice Supervisor to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of the Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) and Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH). You will supervise clinic operations staff, ensuring efficient workflows, exceptional patient service, and regulatory compliance in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related area plus three years of related experience/training.
• Three or more years of interdepartmental collaboration and operational support experience.
• Experience supervising clinic/center support staff and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to train, evaluate, and document human resources issues; contribute to HR decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across levels of management and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administrative and operational functions of CIM and IBH.
• Supervise clinic operations staff and ensure efficient workflows and patient service.
• Coordinate day-to-day clinic operations and staff performance.
• Implement process improvements and support high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Manage revenue cycle functions including charge capture and cash collection.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and IT security protocols.
• Coordinate facilities maintenance and safety with Facilities/EHS.
• Support budgeting and capital project proposals.
